Kathy Collier - first well recipient

“On the behalf of H2Alabama, I am very satisfied with the service they have provided to my daughter and I with the well they installed for us. Using the grant money to ensure people like us have safe and great drinking water from our well was a prayer answered for us. My daughter is so happy that we now have healthy water coming through our faucet to drink. She and I now can relax in the comfort of our home without the hassle of buying and hauling water to our home. My daughter looks at me as her hero for finding help to get water into our home. Only God knows how happy we both are to have found these helpful people that didn't stop until they got us water. Thanks, H2Alabama."

What We Do

H2Alabama helps to finance, build, and maintain private water wells for low-income families in rural Alabama. Through a partnership with the Water Well Trust, a national non-profit organization, H2Alabama offers a program that identifies families in need and assists with building or refurbishing water wells. Homeowners contribute to construction costs based on their household income level. We partner with businesses and trade organizations to source many of the raw materials needed for construction, which keeps costs low for the homeowner. We work with a pool of certified and bonded contractors to install the well and provide annual maintenance checks for each system we install. We also partner with the Auburn University Extension program and the Alabama Rural Water Association to provide water well maintenance and educational materials to our clients.

Below are images from our first well installments in Hale and Wilcox County! These wells reside in Alabama's Black Belt, an area particularly devastated by the water crisis.
